The predictive reality in light of Surah Al-Humazah Objective study

Abstract

The research aims to identify the characteristics of Surat Al-Humazah, its structure, and its purposes. It also reveals the themes of the surah and the divine guidance it contains, which touches the life of Muslims and guides them away from wrongdoing by warning against the social ills mentioned in the surah. The research links the guidance of Surah Al-Humazah with the present reality.The research consists of an introduction, four sections, and a conclusion. The first section deals with introductions to Surah Al-Humazah, while the second section deals with the occasions of Surah Al-Humazah and its relationship to thematic unity. The third section deals with the themes of the surah and their relationship to contemporary reality. Finally, the fourth section presents a forward-looking vision for treating the social ills warned against in the surah.

The research was conducted using a descriptive approach based on analysis and deduction in accordance with the requirements of thematic interpretation, concluding with the following key findings: considering luxury, the accumulation of wealth, and arrogance to be the most prominent causes behind the emergence of many social ills, and concluded that our era is characterised by an increase in the forms, means, and methods that contribute to the spread of these social ills, which calls for multiple efforts to address the deviance caused by them. The research clarified that the misuse of the technological explosion, which is a deadly weapon in the hands of those who use it, is a machine that corrupts society and plunges it into many forms of deviance. Finally, the research presented a Qur'anic perspective that links the guidance of the Qur'an with contemporary reality and foresight into the future.
