Surah Al-Waqi'ah (Study and Verification) From the Tafsir Jawami' al-Tibyan fi Tafsir al-Qur'an By Mu'in al-Din Muhammad ibn 'Abd al-Rahman al-Iji (d. 905 AH)

Abstract

The research aims to explore and clarify some meanings of the Holy Quran through the interpretation of the comprehensive commentary 'Al-Tibyan,' emphasizing the interpretations of various commentators on Surah 'Al-Waqi'ah,' verifying the narrations related to the interpretation of Surah 'Al-Waqi'ah,' and studying it in a manner that facilitates understanding and comprehension of its meanings. The research is approached to include two sections, a conclusion, and a bibliography. The first section includes an introduction, objectives, reasons for choosing the topic, hypothetical research questions, research plan, methodology, and examples from two manuscripts, 'original' and 'B.' This section concludes with a brief biography of the commentator 'Mu'in al-Din al-Iji.' The second section includes an investigation of Surah 'Al-Waqi'ah' in an appropriate manner, following the methods and ways taken by researchers and scholars. It concludes with the most important findings and recommendations, along with a bibliography.
