About the Journal

Al-Mahwit University Scientific Journal: It is a refereed scientific journal about Al-Mahwit University. Its aim is to create a research platform to select approved global scientific models, and to advance scientific production in various fields.

The journal has become every three months in the electronic version, and accepts papers and research studies from companies in both Arabic and English.

 

About the Journal :

Al-Mahwit University Scientific Journal is a quarterly refereed scientific journal, mainly about Al-Mahwit University, every three months (four registrations per year), and specializes in scientific research in the departments of contributing medical sciences, administrative, humanities, literary and applied.

 

Vision: Leadership and excellence in the field of publishing scientific research and studies at the local and regional levels.

Requirements and requests for publication:

First: Steps for issuing the magazine’s issues:

1. Announcing on the university's official website and the journal's official website, and other publishing descriptions, that the journal receives scientific research at the beginning of the first month of each quarter.
2. Receiving research from the beginning of the first month until the first week of the third month of each quarter.
3. Evaluating all research received by the journal and ensuring that it is required by the rules of scientific and technical publishing, and the extent to which its topic matches one of the specializations and the journal's specialization, by the presidency and editorial board of the journal as a first stage.
4. In the event that the research topic matches several sectors and specializations of the journal and its commitment to the rules of technical publishing, the research in which it participated in the journal, to approved referees (three referees for each research, one of the members of the journal's editorial board related to the research specialization), participating in a qualified directed model in the journal, that a response be made with a decision directed to the journal, within two weeks from the date of sending the research for judgment.
5. In the event that the research is not suitable for publication or a request to make amendments according to a decision followed, the journal risks the good research.
6. During the last three months of the third month, the technical committee prepared and technically produced the research suitable for publication, which contributed to the conditions for publication in the magazine.
7. On the last day of the third month of each quarter, the magazine issue is issued, and its release is announced on the official website of the university and the magazine and other publications, to promote the issue and the magazine.
8. With: Requirements for publishing in the magazine: 1. Journalists must have access to the magazine.
9. The research topic must be original and not copied or copied from other previous research topics, and the research must not have been published in whole or in part in another magazine.
10. The research must be prepared in accordance with the rules and practical steps recognized openly, in each field of the various sciences.
11. Scientific research submitted to the magazine, for citation checking programs, to ensure the credibility and modernity of the research content, and its freedom from secrecy and illegal plagiarism.
12. The future of research in various specializations in Arabic or English, after linguistically reviewing it by the researcher, according to the language of the written research.
13. If the research is written in Arabic, the research must be written in a (Word) file according to the following specifications: • Page size (A4).

• Font type (Simplified Arab) and font size (16) for titles, (14) for the body.
• Spacing between paragraphs (6), and line spacing (1.5).
• Marginal space (3) cm right, and (5) cm in the three courts left, top and bottom.
• Write the numbers in foreign format and in (Times New Roman) font.

7. If the research is written in English, the research must be written in a (Word) file according to the following specifications: • Page size (A4).

• Font type (Times New Roman) and font size (14) for titles (12) for the body.
• Spacing between paragraphs (6), and line spacing (1).
• Marginal space (3) cm left, and (5) cm in the three courts right, top and bottom.

8. Commitment to academic integrity, publishing and authorship, when quoting from scientific sources and references, to write references in the latest edition (APA) format, in the text and on the references page of the last research arranged alphabetically (B free according to the dictionary), according to the following specifications:

• In the text: (family name, year, page numbers).
• On the last page of references: Master's and doctoral theses: family name, first name used for the author of the thesis (year): title of the thesis, university department, university name, country name.

Published research: family name, first name used for the author of the research (year): title of the research, name of the scientific journal, issue number, volume.

For books: family name, first name used for the author of the research (year): title of the author, name of the publishing house: country of the publishing house.

9. The title of the research, the name of the research or their scientific methods and descriptions and its subsidiary institution are written on a reference page separate from the research pages.
10. The second page should include the research (abstract), with a word count of no more than (200) words, in both Arabic and English, along with the keywords of the research, so that their number does not exceed (5) words.
11. Do not hesitate to contact the number of pages of the research of (40) pages, including the amendment page, the summary page and the appendix, if any.
12. Send the research in a (Word) file by registering on the official website of the journal.
13. An attachment is sent with the research, including a written declaration signed by the researchers or the variety, stating: • That the research is original, modern and not copied from other research by researchers on the enclosures.

• Not sending the research to another journal at the same time of sending
• Not to send the research to another journal at the same time it was sent to the journal.
• That the research has not been previously published in any other journal inside or outside Yemen, and in any language.
• With the participation of all researchers whose names are listed on the research, in the event of multiple researchers.

14. After sending the research to the journal, and in the event that the research topic (does not match) the journal’s fields and specializations, the researcher will be notified of this via an electronic message from the journal’s editorial board, two weeks after the journal received the research.
15. In the event that the research topic (matches) the journal’s fields and specializations, and adheres to the publication rules, it will be subject to arbitration by an accredited scientific committee specialized in the field of research.
16. The researcher will be notified of the arbitration committee’s decision, whether to accept the research for publication, or to make amendments to it, or to declare it unsuitable for publication, one month after the journal received the research.
17. The topics, content, and results of the research that it reaches, which are published in the University of Mahwit Scientific Journal, express only the opinions of the researchers, and the journal, its editorial board, and the issuing body do not bear any responsibility of any kind in this regard, and before any party whose interests may conflict with the topic, content, and results of the research published in it.
